Leviton recently expanded its popular Smart Wallbox Sensor line with multi-technology models that combine PIR and microphonics sensing technology with switching and dimming for easy energy savings and code compliance.

This educational video, produced by the Lighting Controls Association at the 2024 LEDucation event in New York City, introduces the building industry to Leviton’s new family of smart room controllers and sensors.

Leviton has announced the expansion of the Smart Sensor line with Smart Ceiling Mount Room Controllers (SRC) and Smart Ceiling Mount Sensors (CMS). The line simplifies advanced lighting controls by integrating several control strategies into a self-contained, cost-effective, and easy-to-install device. By requiring just two devices instead of the industry’s standard four for code compliance requirements, the solutions streamline installation.

This educational video, produced by the Lighting Controls Association at the 2023 LEDucation event in New York City, introduces the building industry to Leviton’s Light Fixture-Integrated Smart Sensors, which combine occupancy/vacancy sensing with 0-10V dimming or ON/OFF switching for highly responsive lighting control and optimal energy savings.

The U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) has announced six winners in Phase Two of the DOE Lighting Prize (L-Prize®) competition, including Lighting Controls Association members Leviton and McWong.

Leviton recently announced the introduction of its new line of Decora Countdown Timer Switches. The line consists of eleven models in total, including 15A models featuring the company’s new Green Flex Sleeve for easy wiring to ground or neutral wires, and 20A models that can be used in single pole, multi-way or multi-timer applications and support higher load ratings.

Leviton recently announced the ninth edition of its popular Captain Code Guide, which features changes and additions to the 2023 National Electrical Code (NEC®), is now available in a Spanish edition. This offering is in recognition of the growing number of installers for whom Spanish is their primary language.

The automatic lighting controls at a popular sports arena in Philadelphia were nearing the end of their life cycle. Arena managers needed to retrofit the lighting controls while ensuring events and operations were not interrupted. Leviton and Diversified Lighting worked with arena managers to replace aging lighting controls with GreenMAX Relay Panels, producing multiple benefits.

Leviton recently introduced an expansion of their integrated in-fixture control offering with Smart Fixture Mount Sensors (FMS) for high bay applications. These in-fixture controls are engineered to install directly into high-bay and low-bay luminaires to provide an integrated occupancy sensing, dimming, daylight harvesting and scheduling solution to meet the most stringent energy code requirements.

Leviton’s Solo High Bay PIR Occupancy Sensors integrate PIR occupancy detection and photocell technology directly into 0-10V dimming fixtures for standalone lighting control.

Industry journalist Craig DiLouie recently had the opportunity to interview Thomas Leonard, Vice President, Commercial Controls, and Jeff Beyert, Vice President, Channel Sales & Service, of Leviton for an article about lighting control fundamentals to be published in the July 2023 issue of tED Magazine, the official publication of the NAED. The main question is: What does is the minimum every electrical distributor needs to know to begin to understand the lighting controls category?

Leviton recently introduced its Decora Edge™ line of wiring devices—promising a quick, easy, and safe way to install electrical devices for the home. Compared with traditional switches and outlets, Decora Edge streamlines installation by enabling users to simply push stripped 14-gauge or 12-gauge electrical building wire into a termination port, and close a lever that clicks into place, terminating the connection with confidence.
