SENSORWORX Adds Digital Controls to its Product Portfolio

SENSORWORX recently announced the launch of a new system of digitally addressable lighting control products that enables sensor-based, time-based, and daylight-based strategies for single and multi-zone spaces. The tagline of SENSORWORX Digital is “SIMPLER!”, a claim supported by the system’s wiring flexibility, multiple configuration methods, and room-based time clock architecture.

SENSORWORX digital devices communicate over a topology-free, 3-wire data line connection that eliminates rigid bus topologies and strict wire routing requirements. Common 18/3 cable and reliable wire/push/lever nuts are used to connect devices, thus eliminating potential issues with CAT-5 based systems (i.e. incorrect RJ-45 pin-outs, bad ports, high cable costs, specialized tool requirements). To make configuration simpler, the SENSORWORX digital system automatically creates default zones that provide installers with instant wiring validation. For multi-zone configurations, the system’s direct push-to-pair method is designed to be both quick and intuitive. Finally, the SENSORWORX mobile app config tool makes advanced zone, scene, and schedule setup completely ladder free.

Ben Hahn, President of SENSORWORX comments, “For years digital systems have been the norm for room-based applications that require multi-zones, dimming from multiple locations, time schedules, or advanced scene control. However, with this incremental functionality also came nightmare wiring, commissioning, and high costs from unnecessary added network functionality. Improving upon complicated and overpriced lighting controls is what the SENSORWORX brand is known for, so adding a digital platform is right in our wheelhouse. In other words, SENSORWORX Digital is simpler.”
