PG&E to Host Webinar, “Lighting Controls Success Stories” on December 2

On December 2, 2021, PG&E will host a 3.5-hour webinar, “Lighting Controls Success Stories” from 9AM to 12:30PM.

In this course, attendees will see case studies demonstrating successful application of lighting controls. From the description:

While building controls are undeniably becoming more complex and require increasing attention to codes and standards, better application of technology through design practices offers a way forward. Improved processes can improve indoor environmental quality, energy management, efficiency, and resilience. Much important work is being done to improve codes and standards, user interface and experience, data analytics, and connectivity while creating new job descriptions and training programs.

This course presents projects with successful designs for standalone and networked lighting controls and lighting controls that are integrated into other building systems in some way. These projects tell stories of actual experiences. They show elements common to success for controls projects: good communication among teams early on; clear delineation of responsibilities and approval authority, including planning for commissioning early in a project; and a disciplined approach to incorporating controls intentions from the Owners Project Requirements, Basis of Design, and Sequence of Operations.

Course attendees qualify for AIA HSW credits.
