The National Electrical Manufacturers Association (NEMA) recently announced it welcomed the news that congressional leaders have reached an agreement on an omnibus spending package that also includes important energy and tax policy provisions.
“The Energy Act of 2020 reflects an optimistic, future-focused approach to American energy policy that will encourage innovation in key areas like smart manufacturing, grid modernization, transportation electrification, and others,” said NEMA President and CEO Kevin J. Cosgriff. “Moreover, several tax policy changes will encourage building efficiency and electric vehicle infrastructure.”
This new law supports ongoing work to offer equipment and systems that are safe, reliable, and efficient, according to NEMA.
