mwConnect and Network Thermostat Partner to Deliver Streamlined HVAC Integration for Networked Lighting Control Platforms

mwConnect, a leading innovator in wireless mesh technology, and Network Thermostat™ (NetX), a pioneer in connected smart thermostats for commercial applications, recently announced a strategic partnership to advance integration between HVAC system control and networked lighting control platforms.

This collaboration marks a significant milestone in the adoption of wireless mesh for building automation, enabling facility operators to unify lighting and occupancy data with HVAC controls. The joint solution, expected to launch in Q3 of 2025, will leverage wireless lighting control and related occupancy data to optimize HVAC operation and deliver a simpler, more cost-effective path to energy efficiency, comfort and operational intelligence without the expense or complexity of traditional building management systems.

Notes Stephen Zhou, Executive Vice President, mwConnect, “We’ve been working with Network Thermostat for more than two years on developing streamlined, scalable, standards-based solutions for occupancy-based HVAC and lighting integration. We’re confident our shared technology provides robust choices for owners and operators of facilities of all sizes without requiring complex or costly building management systems.”

“The industry has been pursuing simplified, effective automation approaches for decades because of the tremendous benefits: improved occupant comfort, reduced energy usage, and easier operation,” said Jerry Drew, President, Network Thermostat. “We’re excited to deliver on that promise with a trusted technology partner like mwConnect.”
