This educational video, produced by the Lighting Controls Association at the 2025 LEDucation event in New York City, offers the building industry a brief booth tour of mwConnect’s new Extreme-Range Outdoor Bluetooth Mesh Controller.
This controller is the first Bluetooth NLC certified long-range device, engineered for optimal performance over long distances (larger than 1000 ft) to create a more robust mesh network.
The device is also DALI D4i-certified and Zhaga Book 18 compliant to maximize plug-and-play interoperability across lighting systems. The DALI D4i certification enables standardization and interoperability for intra-luminaire communication, with the controller capable of reading luminaire, energy and diagnostics data from up to four D4i LED drivers. It mounts to a light fixture via the Zhaga Book 18 Quick Connect Receptacle, enabling standardized smart interfaces for mechanical and electrical uses. The controller supports plug-and-play interoperability across lighting systems.
The controller is a network lighting control device qualified as part of the TruBlu lighting control system listed on the DLC NLCS QPL and was accepted into the 2024 IES Progress Report.
