DLC Study Documents Non-Energy Benefits of Networked Lighting Controls

The DLC recently published a summary of research conducted by Skumatz Economic Research Associates, Inc. (SERA), which identified non-energy benefits (NEBs) of networked lighting controls and developed a methodology for quantifying them.

The study estimated that the non-energy benefits can deliver a return on investment more than double than that resulting from the energy savings alone. Additionally, a net increase in self-reported productivity of nearly 8% was estimated for each occupant in workspaces where networked controls were operating.

Unfortunately, the complete study is reserved to DLC members, but a summary is available here.
