Project commissioning is a systematic process used throughout a project to verify and document that building systems perform according to the owner’s project requirements and design intent. Presented by LCA Education Manager C. Webster Marsh, Commissioning and Lighting Controls identifies aspects of commissioning related to lighting control implementation, from documenting the controls intent to functional testing of specific systems, training, and post-occupancy evaluation.
By the end, you will be able to: 1) understand the roles and responsibilities of the commissioning team, 2) describe the key documents used during commissioning, 3) identify commissioning activities during each project phase, and 4) comply with mandatory commissioning, verification, and functional testing requirements in commercial building energy codes.
